The Legend Behind the Legends
Born and raised just outside the city, in Latrobe, PA, Daveon is as Pittsburgh as it gets. A former Pitt Panther with degrees in Athletic Training, Psychology, and a Master’s in Sports Medicine and Nutrition, Daveon joined the Steelers full-time in 2016 after multiple internships. Nearly a decade later, he has helped train and care for legends like Ben Roethlisberger, James Conner, and T.J. Watt—playing a key role in keeping the Black and Gold on the field.
Daveon’s role is part of a four-person training team responsible for the health and performance of an entire NFL roster. His is a 24/7 gig—and fans don’t often realize how much goes on behind the scenes to keep the players safe and healthy.
