Mills grew up in Dunnelon, FL, starring on the Dunnellon High School football team. At the University of Florida, he earned his stripes with receiving yards, touchdowns, and a stellar 70-yard reception.
A Steelers Standout
Drafted by Pittsburgh in the third round of the 1991 NFL Draft, Mills quickly became known for his crisp route running, sure hands, and game-changing plays as #89. Over his six seasons with the Steelers, he racked up over 2,500 receiving yards, 18 touchdowns, and countless memorable moments.
One of his most defining plays came during the 1995 AFC Championship Game against the Indianapolis Colts, where he hauled in a 37-yard reception that helped set the Steelers up for Super Bowl XXX.
