Jordan Dangerfield Returns to the Legends of Pittsburgh Cruise!

Safety. Leader. Mentor. Steeler.

Get ready to set sail with Jordan Dangerfield, a fan-favorite Steeler known for his hard-hitting play, relentless determination, and inspiring journey to NFL success. After spending seven of his eight NFL seasons proudly wearing the Black & Gold, Dangerfield is back on board for the 2026 Legends of Pittsburgh Cruise!

From First Snap To Team Captain

Born on Christmas Day 1990 in Elmont, New York, Jordan was raised by two first responders—a foundation that instilled toughness, discipline, and an unshakable work ethic. He started playing football at just seven years old, and by high school, he was already a standout receiver and defensive back at Royal Palm Beach High School in Florida.

Jordan’s college football career began at Hofstra University before transferring to Towson University, where his talent shone. But Jordan’s path to the NFL was anything but easy. His is a story of perseverance, belief, and mental grit.

Signed by the Buffalo Bills but cut before the season, Jordan’s journey took a pivotal turn when the Pittsburgh Steelers saw his raw potential. With relentless focus and steel, Jordan earned his Steelers drip—spending time on the practice squad in 2014 and 2015 before making his official team debut in 2016. From there, he played 61 career games with 46 total tackles—including 26 solo tackles—proving himself a key contributor. Jordan was honored as team captain in 2020.

True Steelers Mentality

What made Jordan stand out? His unwavering mental focus and his belief that every snap matters. His father’s guidance, “believe to achieve,” fueled No. 37 on and off the field. Whether he was flying to break up a pass or bringing down another play-changing tackle, Jordan approached every moment on the field with the same mindset:

Faith is first. Then, know your role and take it seriously.

Dangerfield’s speed, strength, and field awareness made him a safety his fans could count on to keep the ball from advancing—the kind of confidence Steeler Nation loves.
