From the Heart of Columbus to the NFL
Born on March 5, 1998, in Columbus, Ohio, Malik Harrison grew up surrounded by competition and community pride. He attended Walnut Ridge High School, where he starred in football and basketball and quickly established himself as a powerful, instinctive defender on the field.
Staying close to home, Harrison committed to Ohio State University, where he developed into one of the Buckeyes’ most reliable defensive contributors. Over four collegiate seasons, he appeared in 52 games, earning a starting role in his final two years. He led Ohio State in tackles during the 2018 and 2019 seasons as a junior and senior and was recognized with First-Team All-Big Ten honors in 2019—a testament to his consistency, toughness, and football IQ.
NFL Journey — From Draft Day to the Black & Gold
Harrison entered the NFL after being selected in the third round (98th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. During his five seasons in Baltimore, he became a dependable presence as a rotational linebacker and core special teams contributor.
Across his Ravens tenure, Harrison played in 76 regular-season games with 34 starts, earning respect for his physical run defense, versatility across linebacker roles, and willingness to do the dirty work that helps defenses thrive.
In March 2025, Malik signed a two-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers, bringing veteran experience and edge to the Steelers’ linebacker room. During the 2025 season, he spent time on injured reserve due to a knee injury but remained engaged with the team while working back toward full strength.
